50 Year old ex UK Champion Bodybuilder Reviews Curcumin and Ashwagandha when taken together

Updated: Oct 24, 2020

So today i'm going to talk about two supplements I've been using during my recovery from prostate cancer surgery which i believe contributed to my healing and

speedy return to the gym.

These two supplements are backed by science and come from an indian tradition

of herbal medicine, these two supplements are curcumin and ashwagandha.

First of all curcumin comes from the root turmeric and has been clinically proven

to be nature's way of reducing pain and inflammation and this is just the thing I

needed when I was healing.

Now from a bodybuilding perspective I was interested in its properties for enhancing

insulin sensitivity which in turn makes the body utilize carbohydrates

and shuttle glucose to the muscle and also utilizes amino acids also

more efficiently. Now the other supplement I

want to mention is ashwagandha, which has been clinically

proven to reduce cortisol in in the body and raise testosterone in

the body.

Testosterone is an anabolic hormone which means muscle building

and uh cold salt is a catabolic hormone which means muscle wasting the cortisol is the hormone that we produce when we're stressed.

When we're stressed our we need energy and where does that energy come from it

comes from the muscle from depleting the muscle of nutrients like uh amino acids and

glycogen and we don't want that we want that for our muscle building

properties so it also obviously helps with stress.

How ashwagandha works is not by directly raising the male sex hormone testosterone but by reducing the stress hormone cortisol which in turn will make the testosterone levels rise in men as a counter regulation.

Now when taken together that really is where the magic can happen because

they both share a lot of properties they both share the cortisol reducing properties

and they both share some anti-inflammatory properties and detox

properties, detoxifying you from all the poison in your body and

they both share properties that reduce blood pressure and properties that

help with healthy heart function. So when taken together this is where as I

said where the magic really does happen, because they complement each other

and they enhance all the properties that they share but they also bring some new things to

the table as well.

So yeah both very similar products because they're both from the Ayurvedic tradition of indian herbal medicine and both very effective products, because they're backed by science.

Now one thing worth mentioning is that you know be very careful what curcumin or ashwagandha you buy because you want to be aware of two things one is they've got to be high bio availability, which means your body can utilize and absorb them efficiently and the other one is that they've got to be a good potency because most of the studies are done with quite a high in milligrams so the ones I use at the moment is from a company called Supplements You that supplements and y-o-u and they have very high potency ashwagandha and curcumin.

Also the the curcumin has got a patented ingredient called bioprine which enhances the absorption of the curcumin so very high quality products i'm using at the moment from supplements you, I heartily recommend them and you will see for yourself the benefits I mean I've seen the benefits in my strength levels going up I've also put on a bit of size during my recovery.

Could be this be muscle memory, could it be my positive mental attitude, could it be that I've been training hard, who knows but it's working well so you know when you've got that coupled with the scientific studies, I know these are the kind of things I want to keep in my regime.

The good news for you today is that there's a coupon code down below
